Today we decided to go to the Wild Animal Park. Kim and I got up and got the boys ready to go so that we could be there at 9:00am (right when it opens). I guess that Ben hurt his foot real bad playing kickball with some teenage boys. Someone stomped down hard on his foot at the game and then not too long after that, someone threw a rock on his foot at a service project. And yet he still serves. Go Ben :o)

We met Dad, Mom, Joy, and the girls at the park. This trip was more of a workout and less of a trip to see animals. I feel like the whole time we were pushing large two kid strollers up hills, and when we stopped, it wasn't to see animals. We got some good pictures in though. Oh, Isaac and Daisy were especially cute. Isaac really wanted to hold hands with Daisy and so they were linked together the rest of the day. But Lilly felt left out so she marched up to Isaac and demanded that he hold her hand too. We pulled Roman back to join the ranks for a picture, but then we let him run back up with grandma. It wasn't an all day park visit like normal, but it was fun. We ended it with a ride on the carousel where I stood next to Daisy while she rode the panda.

After the Wild Animal Park we came home and tried to take naps. Some people were successful. I was in and out of a nap, Dad for sure got a nap in, and Joy got a nap after she gave up on trying to lay her girls down and gave them to Grandma.

The reason that we didn't spend all day at the park though was because we had to get back to make Mom's birthday dinner. Mmmm.... Josh made some super yummy steak, Dana made a great spinach and berry salad, I was in charge of the rolls and I felt bad that I copped out and had store bought ones, and Kim made mashed cauliflower (which everyone gave her a hard time about- I thought it was fine). The dinner was super tasty, but it was better because we were all there. Grandma and Granddad Kerby came down from Poway to join us for dinner. After dinner Kim had great plans for pictures. She really wanted two pictures. One was of the four girls laying in a circle and someone getting a picture from above. Yeah, we did that one, but it was hard to get because Dad is a little special sometimes and we're all hilarious all the time and no one could stop laughing. Then Kim started doing cartwheels and jumps, trying to get some really good pictures. She's SO weird when it comes to cameras. The second picture she wanted was to put all the kids in their pajamas. That didn't work out because the girls' pajamas were dirty and Joy didn't think they'd make for a super cute picture.

Oh, I love family, and I love family time. What a good day <3

  1. Oh, I forgot to put this on an earlier, well later post, but earlier in my reading order...... You would never know you hate being in pictures so much... especially after the photo sess with 20 different tractors and 100 different posers. So :P
