I'm Going Home!

Over a month ago I was talking to my dad on the phone and he mentioned that it would be planned perfectly if I came out for Father's Day and Kim's Birthday. He was thinking that I'd drive to Cedar City around June 17th, spend a couple of days with Grandma Petronaci, then drive out. That way I could spend Father's Day at home, and then on the 24th I could go to Disneyland with Dad and Kim for her birthday. Alright, sounded great, as long as I didn't have meetings that week.

Well... it worked out that I did not have meetings then so I headed home. On Wednesday I drove to Cedar City. I had a good little visit with my grandma. We went through her things and I found out about the history about what she's got lying around the house. While going through her stuff, I also pulled out some stuff I can use in my classroom :o) and my kitchen. We went out to dinner and got our nails done. Yep, it was a pretty nice visit. Now, initially I had planned to stay two days with Grandma, but then the plans changed so that Grandma would just come down with me. So, as long as she was coming with me, I asked if she'd be okay with leaving a day early because I was excited to get home. She agreed and so Thursday morning we headed out.

Oh, I'm not going to lie. A nine hour ride is long! It was a good ride for the most part, but I started getting antsy toward the end. By time we got home, I was ready to stand up and be moving around. The most important part is that we were home and we made it safely and sanely :o)
